Portland writer, Yvonne Meacham Buchanan

Yvonne Meacham Buchanan has been a Portland writer for more than 20 years. Her freelance and on-staff experience includes working in corporate, agency, Web, and nonprofit environments.

Although she is a Portland writer, her writing has been seen throughout the world, thanks to the Internet. In 2001-2003 Yvonne developed a Web-based public relations business teaching PR to professionals throughout the U.S. and in 19 additional countries throughout the world, and selling public relations toolkits worldwide to small businesses. Who would have thunk it? PR as a product.

Yvonne’s writing and editing experience is insanely broad and includes Web writing, public relations writing, technical, advertising, magazine and multimedia writing for healthcare organizations, financial and professional service organizations, nonprofit and high technology.

Yvonne especially enjoys writing and editing for publication (Web copy, articles, manuscripts) and the spoken word (scripts, speeches).

Yvonne holds an M.S. in Professional Writing and a B.A. in English.
